Viscoderm, exercising a corrective action to fill natural and induced skin depressions, intervenes:
– in the physiological process of aging of the skin, the effects of which include thickening of the stratum corneum (roughness and lower brightness of the skin) and alteration of the elastic fibers of the dermis (wrinkles).
– in the process of repairing dermal tissue, in cases of scarring outcomes following superficial skin traumas (e.g. acne scars or chickenpox).
The viscoelastic and moisturizing properties of hyaluronic acid, combined with the possibility of maintaining this acid at appropriate levels in the skin tissues, allow the rehydration of the tissues themselves and allow to create the optimal condition to prevent and counteract the skin aging process and favor a remodeling of the tissue with consequent corrective effect of the scar outcomes of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid also plays a role within the extracellular matrix, which creates the physiological conditions for the proliferation, migration and organization of the dermal cell component.
In addition, the intradermal administration of Viscoderm and therefore its action at the level of the dermis and not of the epidermis, allows to bring directly into the tissue to be treated an optimal amount of hyaluronic acid to counteract the cytotoxic action of free radicals on fibroblasts, ensuring the effectiveness of preventive and corrective intervention of a medical aesthetic type.
Hyaluronic acid used for Viscoderm is produced by biosynthesis from a natural substrate without further chemical transformations; for this reason Viscoderm has excellent biocompatibility and its use at the dermal level allows the integration of reduced and modified hyaluronic acid due to the physiological product of aging of the skin or following superficial skin traumas.
